Micron Leadership

After graduating from university, Hiroaki Suzuki engaged in research and development of medical devices, contributing to the technological foundations delivered to clinical practice. He later worked at a CRO, gaining hands-on experience across the full process linking research and development to clinical implementation.
In 2005, he joined Micron as a founding member. Since then, he has played a central role in launching and growing the business while remaining deeply involved in clinical operations as Head of Clinical Development. He was appointed President in 2024 and assumed the role of President & CEO in 2025.

Akira Yokono over 35 years of experience in new drug development gained at global pharmaceutical companies and CROs. He has served as a key liaison with Japanese regulatory authorities and has been involved in the submission and approval of five New Drug Applications (NDAs). He has extensive experience in consultations with the PMDA and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. 
Since 2021, he has led Micron’s Clinical Development Division, overseeing project management, monitoring, data management and biostatistics, regulatory and medical writing, and pharmacovigilance. He was appointed Executive Officer in 2024, overseeing the Clinical Development Department.

Hirokazu Miyazaki began his career in 1983, contributing to the development of clinical laboratory systems at a major manufacturer. In 1996, he participated in the launch of an electronic medical record (EMR) company. He subsequently held a series of executive positions, including Director, Managing Director, and Senior Managing Director, where he led EMR business operations, expanded sales networks, and promoted strategic alliances with Microsoft, Oracle, and departmental system vendors. He also advanced the real-world implementation of regional healthcare collaboration systems. In 2020, he became President and CEO of a nursing support system development company. 
After joining Micron in 2024, he has served as Executive Officer overseeing the MedTech Sales Department.

Naoyuki Ohira gained experience in clinical trial operations at a CRO, developing hands-on expertise in clinical development processes. He joined Micron in 2005 as a founding member and was deeply involved in field operations as a manager in the monitoring business. From 2012, he served as a manager in the sales division. He was appointed Director of Corporate Strategy Department in 2025. Since 2026, as Executive Officer, ​he has been driving value creation and sustainable business growth in the healthcare and clinical development.

Tetsuaki Kunieda has over 30 years of experience in clinical development at domestic pharmaceutical companies and CROs. His background spans clinical monitoring as a CRA, quality control, quality management systems, and regulatory authority interactions. At a pharmaceutical company, he led the development and implementation of an ICH E6(R2)-compliant QMS and supported PMDA inspections and global clinical trials. In 2020, he played a key role at a CRO in launching a contract services division, driving organizational restructuring and revenue growth while maintaining quality excellence. 
He joined Micron in 2023 and currently serves as Director of Quality Management.

Noriko Kawarada has worked extensively in healthcare, welfare, and clinical research as a nurse, public health nurse, and CRC. She joined Micron in 2007 and has served as a CRA and project leader. From 2012 to 2017, she concurrently contributed to the Imaging Analysis Division, leading imaging projects as a project leader. She was appointed Director of the Monitoring Department in 2021, concurrently serving as Director of the Project Management Department from 2022.
She has served as Director of the Clinical Development Department since 2025.

Naoki Matsukawa joined Micron in 2012. Leveraging his expertise as a radiological technologist, he has led numerous imaging studies across oncology, cardiovascular, central nervous system, and dermatology fields, from study startup through execution. He currently oversees Micron’s imaging analysis services as Director of Imaging Service Department. 
He specializes in cardiovascular imaging analysis and has authored numerous research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications. He holds a PhD in Medicine from Showa Medical University. He is also responsible for planning and advancing IT strategies for imaging analysis services.

Takehito Okamoto earned his PhD from the Graduate School of Medicine, Gunma University, specializing in neuropharmacology. With a background in radiological information science, he has engaged in research and clinical development primarily in nuclear medicine, with a focus on PET. 
Since joining Micron in 2011, he has led imaging analysis project management for domestic and international clinical trials. As Director of Imaging Service Department, he oversees PET and nuclear medicine studies, including theranostics-related projects. Through imaging analysis, central reading support, quantitative assessment, and PET phantom testing, he supports theranostics development that bridges diagnosis and therapy, promoting nuclear imaging strategies that balance scientific validity with GCP-compliant quality.

Yuriko Osaka joined Micron in 2008. Since the establishment of the Imaging Analysis Division in 2009, she has managed imaging study projects for domestic and international clinical trials.
She was appointed Director of the Imaging Service Department in 2022, overseeing organizational and operational management. In 2024, she assumed the role of Director of the SaMD Business Department, where she leads business strategy and organizational management.
