Micron was founded in 2005 as Japan’s first imaging CRO, driven by a strong belief in advancing drug development through imaging technologies. As one of the founding members, I have been deeply involved since the company’s inception—particularly within the clinical development domain—guided by a firm commitment to supporting early detection and early diagnosis through the creation of imaging biomarkers.
In recent years, transformation in this field has accelerated rapidly. A wide range of imaging-related technologies, including PET, MRI, CT, and SPECT, are now actively utilized in clinical trials. In response to these changes, Micron has continuously contributed to the advancement and efficiency of clinical trials by leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
The environment surrounding us continues to evolve, and the requirements for drug development increasingly demand more flexible and sophisticated approaches. To meet these expectations, we are actively investing in human resource development, accumulating organizational knowledge, and strengthening our system infrastructure, all while enhancing our competitiveness as a highly specialized imaging CRO.
Today, as a member of the Tigermed Group, Micron is entering a new phase of accelerated growth and value creation—firmly grounded in the founding vision that has guided us since our establishment. By leveraging the Group’s global expertise and network, we aim to expand our business foundation beyond Japan into Asia and other markets, pursuing sustainable growth and the long-term enhancement of corporate value.
